Haine is a genetically modified creation with regenerative abilities and a darker personality lurking in his mind.
Haine was created and trained as a young boy to be a powerful weapon, thrown into situations that have left almost permanent scars on his psyche and a collar around his neck. He has a general dislike of women after being abused by a female scientist and a hatred of a fellow named Giovanni who constantly tries to kill him outright. However, in the present he currently seeks to free and protect other genetically modified humans like himself and even saved an angelic-looking girl named Nill during Volume 0 of the manga.
He carries what appear to be a pair of Luger pistols connected by a chain that can be used to strangle anyone who comes to close. His body has been genetically modified to be able to withstand practically any form of punishment and can be regenerated almost instantly. His only weakness appears to be head trauma, but being a main character in this story Haine has not faced that problem yet. At least not physically.
